An extract for his play celebrating one of the North West's best loved poets, Hovis Presley (1960-2005), noted for his down to earth humour and ability to fill a unique spot between the worlds of stand-up, performance poetry and alternative cabaret. Previously seen at the Royal Exchange, Manchester and Latitude Festival 2008, it is a play for voices based on the works of Hovis who The Independent described as 'His poems were infused with bitter-sweet, dry, Northern wit, eschewing the satirical edge and thrusting zeal of his friend John Cooper Clarke in favour of self-effacing humanity.'
